Jack Creek Grille has taken the place of The Timbers, which has gone out of business. The food at Jack Creek is excellent. Try the trout. Ambience is pleasant and service is superb. The price point is great: $25-$35 for entrees.

Tucked away at the Moonlight Basin Resort, it is a tad hard to find, but, definitely a tasty find. Our waitress was super friendly and super busy. The menu is fairly pricey but the portions are good and the quality was there. I think this a new place for the summer, hope they make it work.

My ski group stopped here for lunch. It was a bit busy, but we had to wait only 10-15 minutes for a table. The restaurant is located inside the ski lodge, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. This place has one of the largest fireplaces I have ever seen. I had the Montana Charcuterie appetizer. I wanted a light meal, and the appetizer hit the spot as a meal. A good blend of regional meats and cheeses. It would also be good in the afternoon with a glass of wine. Service was good and friendly and the food came in a timely manner. Nice place. The only thing I didn't like was trying to get over to the Moonlight Lodge and back to the Mountain Village area on a snowboard. There are a couple of level areas where you have to "hoof it" for a bit.

I cannot review the food or drinks but bear with me... My family and I drove up there for a late lunch and to check out the lodge. We were turned away at the hostess stand by a rude gal that said they were done serving (about 1:45pm), when seeing the disappointment in our faces she said they close at 2:30 and the kitchen didn't want anymore customers but she would seat us if we demanded. Knowing what was coming my wife declined for fear of cold food or worse and no service. We wondered around a bit and everyone we ran into was rude except Kelly at the bar. Even the other guests seemed like we were crashing there place. I will never go back!

I was recently in the Jack Creek Grille. I went there even though I was warned not to. I sat at the bar, and which was not busy and waited about 15 minutes to get a drink. when I got my drink the bartender spilled it all over the place. I painfully watched as other people came and went without being served. the bartender was rude! I could not believe it! Terrible terrible service
